Specsavers in Strood has invested in revolutionary diagnostic equipment which could help save the sight of local residents. The new OCT Retinal Scanner creates a 3D model of the back of the eye, while also taking pictures, ensuring a more accurate diagnosis.
In fact, The 3D scan will illustrate the different layers that make up the optic nerve and retina, and can be cross referenced with a digital photograph of the surface of the eye to pinpoint areas of concern.
The new store is one of the first Specsavers store in Medway to feature this pioneering technology.
