Specsavers in Street visited the local Town Hall to talk to Glastonbury Women’s Institute (WI) about the importance of eye health.
Optometrist Colin Shearer from Specsavers Street talked to members of the WI about why they should have regular eye examinations and discussed overall eye health in an interactive and insightful session.
‘Talking about the importance of eye health to community groups is always rewarding,’ said Colin. ‘It’s a great opportunity to reach out to local people and raise awareness. Looking after your eyes should form part of your overall health check and for many people, it’s not usually a priority and we hope to change that.
‘Our customers and local people are extremely supportive, so we always jump at the chance to give something back to the community. If your organisation or group is keen to hear about the importance of eye health, then visit Specsavers 93 High Street to organise a talk or alternatively call us in store.’
