Nine members of staff from Specsavers Street cycled 300km using a static bike and raised £52 for Comic Relief.

The team, who were also dressed in red for the day, started at 9am and took turns to ride in shifts, finally completing the distance (from Street to Brighton) at 5.30pm. Generous customers made donations throughout the day.

Colin Shearer, store director, said: ‘It’s a fantastic achievement for our team and it represents the determination and support we all have for Comic Relief.

'We want to say a big thank you to all nine team members who took part in the static bike ride and to everyone who visited us in the store to contribute.’
