Visitors to Specsavers Street will now be greeted by a new face as the store welcomes a new director.
Colin Shearer has joined the team, taking over from Tom Mogford who had been with the store for more than four years.
A qualified optometrist, Colin graduated from Aston University in 1999, but is already part of the Specsavers family after spending much of his career with the company. Starting out at Specsavers in Yeovil, Colin then moved to Bridport where he spent two years. As well as conducting eye examinations, Colin will now head up the team of 14 and oversee the day to day running of the store.
Mr Shearer, who lives in Crewkerne, said: ‘I’m very excited to be joining the team at Street and look forward to meeting all of our customers. Tom has done a fantastic job in the time he’s been here, and I’m confident that the personal customer experience we strive to provide will continue to live up to the high standards our customers have come to expect.’
Just as you might visit your local GP for a regular checkup, Colin’s vision involves encouraging more people to regularly visit the opticians as it is crucial in maintaining eye health. As part of that mission, Colin and his team plan to provide a personal and professional experience to every customer who visits the store.
