The team at Specsavers in Streatham is offering better care to customers living with glaucoma, after completing a new training course.

Developed in conjunction with the International Glaucoma Association, the training will enable staff at the store to assist sufferers with their treatment, such as advising on how to effectively administer eye drops.

The Streatham team also joined Specsavers around the UK in supporting World Glaucoma Week this month (11-18 March), a global initiative raising awareness about the condition and how to manage it.

Improved care

Shivani Patel, store director at Specsavers Streatham, said: ‘The team is now even better prepared to help any customers living with glaucoma, a condition that can have serious repercussions on your overall eye health. We would encourage everyone to take regular eye tests to help your optician detect any early signs of glaucoma.’
