Big-hearted staff at the store in Stranraer dressed up to the nines at a charity dance – and their fundraising raised more than £1,200 for children with cancer.
Glam movie star dance for CLIC Sargent
Staff organised a fundraising dance at Stranraer Bowling Club in aid of CLIC Sargent – a charity which helps children living with cancer by supporting them and their families.
The fundraiser – which had a movie star glam theme – was a great success and generated £1,277 for the cause.
A word from the store director
Specsavers store director, Elaine Hawthorn, said: ‘We’re overwhelmed by the support we received from customers, members of the public and local businesses for the charity dance. The night was a great success and it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the community.
‘CLIC Sargent carries out vital work within communities across Dumfries and Galloway and beyond and we’re very proud to have raised so much money.
‘It was a fantastic night – thank you to everyone who supported us.’
