Specsavers Stranraer has received a top industry award in recognition of the fantastic employee experience it provides.
The store in George Street received the Platinum Employer accolade to honour its outstanding people management standards.
As an externally validated accreditation scheme, Specsavers’ Platinum Employer raises the bar of people management standards by focusing on five key areas - talent management; recruitment and induction; performance management and reward; learning and development; and employee communications and engagement.
Specsavers stores are reviewed periodically across these areas – and the Stranraer team recently picked up the glittering honour.
Stranraer store director Elaine Hawthorn says: ‘We’re very proud to have met the criteria required to become a Platinum Employer.
‘People are at the centre of everything we do and supporting every member of staff to reach their full career potential is a big part of our ethos. ‘Thank you to everyone who has helped us achieve the accreditation.’
