Staff at Specsavers in Stranraer raffled off a hamper packed with festive goods to raise money for charity – and raised almost £100.
The team at the George Street store gathered together an array of Christmas treats to raise money for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).
First out of the hat was Mrs E Smith from Stranraer, who got an early Christmas gift when she found out she had scooped the prize.
Give something back
Customers were encouraged to pay £1 for a strip of raffle tickets – and donations raised £99 for the cause.
Store director Elaine Hawthorn said: ‘In the run-up to Christmas, we wanted to say thank you to our customers for their support in 2017 and also to give something back to a charity we work closely with.
‘Raffling off the hamper was a great way to say thank you and we’re very pleased with the amount raised.
‘Thanks again to everyone who bought raffle tickets – and huge congratulations to Mrs Smith on her win.’
