Specsavers Strand has won a prestigious business accreditation for its dedication to the ongoing development of its staff.
The store has been awarded Specsavers’ externally-ratified Platinum Employer status, which is tailor-made for optical and audiology retail businesses and sets high standards to be met across staff wellbeing and career development.
The demanding assessment process requires evidence that a number of policies and procedures are in place, and also includes interviews with staff from optical assistants to directors.
The Strand store scored highly across the scheme’s five standards, which include learning and development, performance management and reward, and employee communications and engagement.
