The new state-of-the-art Specsavers Straiton store was officially opened with a ribbon cutting by the store directors, with balloon modeller on-hand to entertain children.
Directors Craig and Ian, who also run the Gyle Centre and Corstorphine stores, are joined by new partner Rachel McFayden.
Delighted to launch
Rachel said: ‘After months of planning, we are delighted to finally open our doors in Straiton.
‘It was great to showcase all our enhanced services to the local community during our family fun launch party and we want to thank everyone who came along to support us.
‘We’re committed to providing the residents of the city with the best optical and hearing services with one of the strongest offerings in the area, and look forward to meeting all of our new customers over the coming months.’
The new store, which has created eight jobs in the area, offers three test rooms, a dedicated contact lens department, in-store hearing centre with a soundproof booth and state-of-the-art technology.
Located within the Straiton Superstore, this is the first Specsavers store to open in a Sainsbury’s in Scotland and marks the expansion of eye care services at another convenient location for local people.
