Stowmarket Specsavers is encouraging young people to consider a career in optics and optometry.
The team is always available to advise young people about how to get into the optics industry.
Simon Hill, store director at Specsavers Stowmarket, says: ‘A career in optometry and optics is highly rewarding and varied.’
‘You could work in hospitals helping people with complicated eye related problems, be involved in pioneering research, teach optometry or even run your own optometry business. It’s an incredibly challenging and well respected profession, offering a good living wage with flexible working hours.’
Entry requirements vary between universities but you will usually need high grades, typically a minimum of AAB at A-level, or equivalent, with at least two science subjects.
