Specsavers will be opening its doors in Kingswinford early in December, offering affordable, professional eye and hearing care to the local community.
Due to open on Monday 4 December at 9 Townsend Place, the store will create four full time jobs for local people. It will act as a sister store to Specsavers in Stourbridge, run by the same directors, Jason Bridgwater and Terry Tam, who share more than 50 years’ optical experience between them.
A range of professional services available
The store will have two test rooms, one easily accessible on the ground floor, as well as a dedicated sound proof room for hearing. It will be kitted out with latest innovative equipment including an Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) machine which works as a 3D scanner to allow the optometrists to view the eye in more detail.
It is used for a variety of functions including screening and management of conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. Customers will receive this service at no extra cost as part of the standard eye examination service.
‘We are really looking forward to opening our new store in Kingswinford,’ said Jason Bridgewater. ‘Demand in Stourbridge is such that we needed to expand and so the opportunity of opening in Kingswinford made perfect sense .
'We’ll be able to offer the same level of commitment to customer service, but with the added convenience for those living in Kingswinford or the surrounding area.’
Frames for all needs
Customers will also benefit from Digital Precision Eyecare, which ensures everyone receives the very best professional care and advice in frame selection and dispensing for their prescription, vision and lifestyle needs.
The technology allows the optical team to help customers select their glasses following an eye examination. Imaging software on a tablet takes a photo of them wearing the glasses, which in turn captures a range of essential dispensing measurements. These are unique to the customer and their chosen specs.
The Kingswinford store will be open seven days a week, with hearing appointments available one day a week from 2018. For more information contact the team at the Stourbridge store.
