ST. Ives residents were given a magical surprise as an opticians store was transformed into a scene from a Disney® film for a day.
Staff from Specsavers St. Ives, located at 1 Foundry Walk, spent a day in the shoes of their favourite Disney® characters to raise vital funds for The Brain Tumour charity.
As well as the Disney® outfits, customers were presented with Disney themed cupcakes for sale along with a ‘guess the number of sweets’ competition, with two designer eyewear vouchers up for grabs.
Store Director, Sandip Patel, says: ‘We all really enjoyed the day. It was a great opportunity for us to have some fun and interact with the locals while also raising money and awareness for a great cause. What’s more, everyone loves Disney® and it’s not every day you get the opportunity to spend a day at work dressed like your favourite Disney character, in my case, Aladdin!
‘It was great to see the local residents supporting us in raising £100 for The Brain Tumour charity. Hopefully there will be a few more people aware of the charity and the amazing work that does than there were before.’
