A lucky Stirlingshire woman has picked up a hamper filled with delicious goodies after winning first prize in a charity raffle.
Meygan Hislop was amongst hundreds of entrants in the Specsavers Stirling charity prize draw which ran in-store in December and raised £466 for Strathcarron Hospice.
£1 from every glasses cleaning kit sold during November/December was donated to the hospice totally £200 with raffle ticket sales taking the total to £466.
Along with a range of goodies from Bennetts Butchers, the hamper contained a £20 voucher from 1314 inn.
A word from the store director
Store director Susanne Akil said: ‘Supporting Strathcarron Hospice is very important to us, and we were thrilled to be able to donate almost £500 towards its vital work over Christmas.
‘Giving away the Christmas hamper is a thank you to all of our customers this year. Huge congratulations to Meygan on her win.’
The store is a longstanding supporter of Strathcarron Hospice and last year it hosted quarterly fundraisers throughout the year to raise vital funds, whilst promoting awareness of the work the hospice carries out. This work includes special palliative care services, as well as home visits across Forth Valley, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth.
