Over 6,000 people across the UK have helped raise money for the anti-bullying charity Kidscape this year – and all they had to do was upload a selfie to the internet.
So the team at Specsavers Stanmore in Church Road are appealing for their customers to join in with the fundraising effort by entering Spectacle Wearer of the Year 2018.
Raising money for charity
The competition, supported by Steps star Claire Richards this year, has a top prize of £10,000 plus £1,000 worth of new glasses.
In the last five years, over £12,000 has been raised for Kidscape by spectacle wearers in London and the South East alone.
A word from the store director
Rakesh Kapoor, store director in Stanmore, said: ‘At the time of writing, nearly six and a half thousand people have uploaded their selfie this year.
‘Specsavers will donate £1 to Kidscape for every entry received, and you could win a great prize. So why not enter today.’
