Specsavers staff in Staines are encouraging parents to bring their kids into store during the May half term for a sight check to highlight the importance of regular eye examinations from an early age.
Advice from the director
Helen Belkhodja, store director at Specsavers Staines, said: ‘What many people don’t realise is that undetected vision problems could affect a child’s learning ability. Eighty per cent of learning is achieved using our vision, yet one in four children has an undetected problem with their sight.
‘We know sight tests can be a daunting prospect for little ones, but our team of professional and approachable opticians and contact lens supervisors can provide support and advice to ensure your child’s visit to the store is stress-free. We also have a wide range of kids’ frames to suit all tastes, so I hope to see lots of little faces in our store over the half term for a free sight check.’
