Superstar extraordinaire, the Gruffalo, took time out of his busy schedule recently to tour Southport and meet his fans, all as part of Specsavers in Southport’s recent official Gruffalo Day.
A Gruffalo-inspired day
In addition to having the Gruffalo there in person, the team at Specsavers on Eastbank Street celebrated all things Gruffalo, with goody bags and competitions galore for visitors to the store.
Store director at Specsavers Southport, Stuart Roberts, said: ‘As one of the nation’s best-loved characters, we were keen to invite the Gruffalo along to our official day in his honour, so we’re delighted he could join us.
‘Not only did he put a smile on the faces of everyone he met, children and adults alike, he also inspired our fantastic Gruffalo competition. I’m sure we’ll be inviting Britain’s much-loved monster back next year!’
Favourite characters from Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s beloved children’s picture books feature in Specsavers’ adorable Gruffalo glasses collection.
