The Southport store is now accredited to perform sight tests on behalf of the Driver and Vehicle Licencing Agency (DVLA) when they are required for driving licence renewals.
Expanding in-store offering
The opticians has added weekly DVLA clinics to its in-store offering, which will be available one day a week to customers.
Victoria Dunn, store director at Specsavers in Southport and Formby, said: ‘We’re looking forward to being able to work with the DVLA and offer this important service to the local community. It’s vital that drivers continue to get their eyes checked throughout their lives, as unfortunately the consequences if they don’t could be fatal.
