Store director Stuart Roberts has retired after 25 years at Specsavers here in Southport, after launching the venture back in 1991 with his business partner, Paul Carroll.
Goodbye & Good Luck
The team held an emotional farewell with friends and family of Stuart, who is now looking forward to using his free time to relax and maybe even learn to play the piano!
Proud to be part of Specsavers
Stuart told the Champion Newspaper: ‘When Specsavers launched their joint venture concept all those years ago, we were excited by the idea of belonging to a large group while still owning our own store, as we knew that combination would deliver great value and service to customers.
‘We were the first Specsavers store in the UK to install a full size customer lift, back in 2003, which has been a great investment. We're also delighted to have gained so many loyal and friendly customers who are like a big family to us.'
Business as usual
Stuart passes the mantle to his son, Mark, who will run both the Eastbank Street site and a further Specsavers store in Formby. Business partner Paul remains at the store and will work alongside Mark and store director Victoria Dunn.
