If you find the winter tough on your eyes, you are definitely not alone.
The good news is that the eye health experts at Specsavers South Harrow, in Northolt Road, have some top tips for you on how to protect your eyes this season.
Keep your eyes hydrated
If you find that your eyes get dryer at this time of year, for example, there is a chance that it could be turning up the heating that is causing the problem. Making sure you blink regularly to refresh your eyes could help.
And the weather outside your home or office might not be helping either. The wind can really dry out your eyes, which is what causes them to water in an attempt to rehydrate themselves.
A word from the store director
Tejas Bhatt, store director in South Harrow, said: ‘Unfortunately, we cannot make the winter go away for you. But we can help you out with some advice about your eyes, and reassure you that it will be summer before you know it.
‘If you have not had an eye test for a while, it might be a good idea to get one now. That way your vision will be in tip top shape when the seasons change.’
