Specsavers in Sittingbourne has raised over £200 for Guide Dogs and the KM Charity Group by taking part in the KM Charity Walk.
Man's best friend shows support
The store was paid a visit by man’s best friend a few weeks ago to encourage sponsorship donations. They greeted training guide dog puppies and trainers who came in to show their support for the staff taking part in the five-mile walk.
On Sunday 28 June, the team laced up their trainers to raise money for Guide Dogs and the KM Charity Team, joining others across Kent to make a difference.
Helping millions of people with sight difficulties
Specsavers Sittingbourne store director, Caroline Matthews said: ‘We raised a total of £221.12 for Guide Dogs through the KM Charity Walk. The team did a fantastic job motivating each other on the day and there was a shared sense of achievement when they crossed the finish line.
We’d like to thank everyone in the Sittingbourne community for supporting us and donating to Guide Dogs, which helps millions of blind and partially-sighted people to provide them with mobility and freedom.’
