A member of the staff at Specsavers in Sittingbourne has received glowing praise from a very satisfied customer.

Uncomfortable with change

‘A few weeks ago, I brought my 14-year-old son to the Sittingbourne store for an eye test. He required new glasses and spent 20 minutes looking, getting upset and agitated. He has autism and while other customers may have wondered why a teen was kicking up such a fuss, I knew it was because he wasn't comfortable with change.

‘He was wearing old glasses as his last ones broke and he wanted those exact frames. He wasn't being spoilt as some might have said, he was genuinely worried about having new frames, and this was causing him some distress.

'The optical assistant couldn't have been more helpful, she actually went and enquired whether these frames were still available, and thankfully they were.

Her kindness will never be forgotten

‘She treated my son with the kindness and understanding that he deserved and made a bad situation so much more bearable. I am truly grateful to her for that. Her kindness will never be forgotten in our home.’
