The team at Specsavers in Southampton – Shirley is offering greater care to customers living with glaucoma after completing a new training course.
Developed in conjunction with the International Glaucoma Association, the training will enable staff at the store to assist sufferers with their treatment, such as advising on how to effectively administer eye drops.
The Southampton – Shirley team also joined Specsavers around the UK in supporting World Glaucoma Week this month (11-18 March), a global initiative raising awareness about the condition and how to manage it.
'Providing best possible service'
Richard Morgan, store director at Specsavers Southampton – Shirley, said: ‘The training will ensure our team is offering the best possible service to people living with glaucoma, and we’re also proud to be supporting the International Glaucoma Association in its mission to raise awareness about the condition.’
