Specsavers in Sheffield has 500 high-visibility vests in various children’s sizes available free of charge for schools, playgroups, boy scouts, girl guides and other children’s groups.
Road safety is a priority
Specsavers in Sheffield is distributing the vests as part of their long standing campaign to promote road safety for children in the region.
High visibility vests help children to be seen on the roads during the dark evenings while travelling to groups and activities and also help them to be easily identified by chaperones on school trips.
A word from the store director
Lorna Armitage, store director at Specsavers in Sheffield, said: ‘Over the years we’ve been able to supply a number of schools and groups in the area with bright and shiny high visibility vests that help keep kids safe and help them to be seen by road users during these dark evenings.
‘We invite anyone who thinks they could make good use of these vests to get in touch with us and let us know.’
