Specsavers in Peterborough – Serpentine Green is appealing for the local community to donate any old specs they have to the store’s Vision Aid Overseas appeal.
The opticians is renewing its support for the charity this year to help provide important eyecare services to people living in challenging conditions in Africa.
Residents with old glasses to spare can drop them off at the collection box located at Specsavers Peterborough – Serpentine Green.
These glasses are then collected and recycled, with funds raised from the reusable parts used to fund eye care projects in Ethiopia, Zambia and other African countries.
