Selby Specsavers will be doing its bit for charity in the run up to this year’s Red Nose Day, and is hoping for a record breaking fundraising total.
Specsavers in Selby will be hosting a glasses MOT station in the week before Red Nose Day 2017, with members of the public able to come in to store from Monday 20 March to have their specs checked.
The team at the store on Gowthorpe will be offering general housekeeping services to any overused or unloved frames for a small donation to the Comic Relief fundraising effort throughout the week.
In addition, staff will be welcoming entries into their ‘guess the weight of the cake’ competition, with a grand prize for the winner to be revealed on Friday 24 March.
The competition is now open to entries for a £1 donation to the charitable cause.
Andy Nunwick, store director at Specsavers in Selby, said: ‘We’re hoping the people of Selby come in store, dig deep, and donate generously in our Red Nose Day fundraiser.
‘The team are on hand for any specs-servicing needs, and are excited to be raising money for the cause.’
