Specsavers Seaford has invested in cutting edge technology which could shave years off the diagnosis of a number of common eye conditions.
The Broad Street store now has an optical coherence tomography (OCT) scanner available for customers, bringing hospital-grade technology to the high street for just £10 more than the cost of a standard eye test.
Early detection matters
The scanner allows the team in store to take a closer look under the surface of the eye to look for the early signs of potentially sight-threatening conditions.
Some conditions, like macular degeneration and glaucoma, generally do not have any symptoms until they have already damaged sight, so early detection really matters.
Book an enhanced eye test today
Chris Titherington, store director in Seaford, said: ‘We are delighted to be able to offer OCT scans to our customers, and they have been really popular so far.
‘Early detection really is the key to keeping your vision healthy, especially as you get a bit older, so we would encourage our customers to book an enhanced eye test, including the OCT scan, today.’
