Local charitable organisation

Specsavers Seaford collects the glasses on behalf of the Newhaven, Peacehaven and Seaford Lions Club as part of their Lions Recycle for Sight scheme, which sends glasses donated for recycling for use overseas.

The club is a charitable organisations which supports people in the local community and further afield.

A word from the store director

Chris Titherington, store director in Seaford, said: ‘We are really delighted to be able to hand so many pairs of used glasses over to the Lions Club, and would like to thank our customers for taking the time to drop them in.

‘A lot of people have an old pair of glasses at home gathering dust, so if you are one of them why not drop them in to us the next time you are in town so we can make sure they are passed onto someone who really needs them.’
