Specsavers in Rugeley has recently been recognised for its commitment to employee engagement, wellbeing and career development with a prestigious business award.
The store was externally assessed against five key areas, including recruitment and induction, performance management and learning and development, to receive its Platinum Employer status.
‘We’re delighted to announce that we’re now recognised as a Platinum Employer,’ Store director Minal Naik said. ‘We’re always looking for ways to improve employee engagement and ensure that the whole team is working towards fulfilling their potential.
‘Every member of staff is intrinsic to the store’s success and to achieve this, it is so important that they feel valued as an employee.’
The prestigious Platinum Employer scheme was designed to support the recruitment and retention of Specsavers staff across the UK and Ireland.
Minal added: ‘We’re dedicated to encouraging our team to do their best, and without their hard work, we wouldn’t be able to make such a positive difference for our customers. This award is a brilliant achievement for the store and adds to the sense of pride we feel working for Specsavers and serving our local community.’
Specsavers Director of HR, Mark Moorton, said: ‘The Platinum Employer scheme is an exciting new addition to our extensive portfolio of training and development programmes, helping our staff to benefit from the opportunity of a full-career journey from entry-level to store owner.’
