The team at Romford has shown their support for dementia sufferers in the local community by training their team and helping to raise awareness of the condition.
Understanding the condition
The team have undertaken extensive training to help equip them with the skills and knowledge required to help their customers who have dementia. As part of the training, a Dementia Friends' Information Session was provided which covered the types of the dementia, symptoms, diagnosis and stages of the disease.
A word from the director
Store director, Bhavi Mistry says: ‘We always want to ensure that all of our customers receive the best possible service when they visit us. We have a large number of elderly customers, some with dementia, so having specialist training seemed like a logical step to ensure they have a positive experience in store.
‘At a time when businesses are looking to provide extra services for dementia sufferers, we are pleased to get involved and offer our customers the support they may require during their visit.’
