Red Nose Day 2015 offered more than just Red Noses as bright red comedy glasses with hair raising eyebrows, as modelled by the fabulous Gok Wan, were available at Specsavers in Ripon.
Visitors to the opticians, located at Fishergate, followed in the footsteps of Gok Wan and made their faces funny for money with Specsavers’ official Red Nose Day glasses in small and large sizes, for just £3 with £1 donated to Comic Relief.
A word from the store director...
Nicola Nisbet, store director of Specsavers in Ripon, said: ‘We’re all set to make our faces funny for money in support of the great work that Comic Relief does. We want to encourage everyone, young and old, to join in the fun and buy their Red Nose Day glasses!’
Cycling 258 miles for charity
Staff wore the Red Nose Day glasses in-store and on 6 March the team hosted a bake sale, raising £65. The team also installed an exercise bike on the shop floor on 13 March and took turns to cycle 258 miles, which represent the distance between Specsavers in Ripon and the capital city.
Specsavers in Ripon has joined stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa.
