Store manager Alison Lee at Specsavers in Ripon has recently raised money for children’s charity, the Make a Wish Foundation, by completing the Great North Run in just over two hours.
Ripon Specsavers also hosted a weekend of fundraising in August and donated £2 from each 2 for 1 dispense made over the three days to the charity, which contributed to the overall fundraising total of £143.
This fundraising effort comes in support of store manager Alison Lee who took part in the Great North Run 2017.
Caroline Sullivan, director of the store said: ‘The whole team are so proud of Alison’s achievement, and of course over the moon with the money raised for Make a Wish.
‘We’d like to thank every member of the public who donated as well.’
