The team at Specsavers in Ripley have kicked off their year of fundraising for a local charity with a Valentine’s Day celebration in store, raising more than £100.
Staff offered home-baked treats and bags of sweeties to customers and passers by in return for a donation to local charity, HomeStart. Staff also accepted donations into a collection bucket on the day.
A word from the store director
‘We’re thrilled to have raised a total of £103 for HomeStart,’ said store director Kuldip Dosanjh. ‘This is the second year that we are supporting the charity, which supports local families parents in difficult emotional situations or simply those who need some extra help and advice.
‘They do invaluable work in our local community, so we’d like to say a huge thank you to all those who came and supported our fundraising day and donated to the cause.’
