Staff at Specsavers in Ripley celebrated two years of business on Saturday 6 August by hosting a beach themed birthday party in store.
The team made the most of the summer holidays and the warm weather, inviting families to join the day of fun and games which included face painting and balloon modelling, with entertainment from stilt walkers. Staff also gave out cakes, goodie bags, glasses cases and beach balls to customers and passers-by.
A fantastic day
‘It was a fantastic day and it was great to see so many people from the community get involved,’ commented store director, Kuldip Dosanjh. ‘It shows how far we’ve come as a store since we opened just two years ago, growing to a 12-strong team and delivering excellent service to each of our customers.’
The team also presented the Ripley Hospital Eye Clinic with a cheque for more than £2,000 on the day, following support for the hospital throughout the last year with numerous fundraising activities.
Kuldip added: ‘We’re really proud to have been able to support local and national charities since opening and are delighted to have presented the hospital with such an incredible amount which I’m sure will make a real difference, so we’d just like to say a special thank you to everybody who generously made a donation.’
