Despite only being at Specsavers Rickmansworth for a couple of months, many of you may feel like Ali is already a familiar face. It’s not just because of his friendly smile, he’s also a seasoned regular within Specsavers.
Always destined for optometry
Ali started working part-time in Specsavers after finishing school, and enjoyed his work so much, that he decided to enrol in a Bachelor of Optometry programme at Aston University. Ali believes ‘vision to be our most prized sense’, and a love of customer service, combined with a passion for health care, meant that enrolling in optometry was an easy decision for him to make.
The journey to Specsavers Rickmansworth
Following graduation from university, Ali continued his journey at Specsavers, and over the years, he has certainly been at his fair share of Specsavers stores.
Prior to Rickmansworth, Ali worked in the Edgeware Road, Bayswater, South Harrow, Wembley and Edgeware stores before arriving at Specsavers Watford, where he completed the Pathway programme to become a store director. He joined Specsavers Rickmansworth in January and after all that movement, says he is very happy to be staying in one place, and call the Rickmansworth store home.
In his spare time
Ali lives locally to the practice and says he enjoys spending time in the area with his wife and catching up with friends and family. Ali is also planning on enrolling on a College of Optometrists programme to develop his knowledge further.
On his team
Ali says his team has been a dream to work with and that everyone is extremely knowledgeable. ‘There is a vast array of experience in the Rickmansworth team - with many of our team members being in optics for over 10 years, and many of our casual staff members also planning on studying optometry.
'It’s great to see such passion and interest in the team, and I really enjoy helping train my staff and sharing my experience with them.’
