Specsavers in Richmond recently raised funds to support blind veterans in their march to the Cenotaph this Remembrance Sunday.
The store in King Street donated £1 for every eye test conducted during the week before Remembrance Sunday week to the charity Blind Veterans UK, to help enable more than 100 blind veterans to attend the annual remembrance event which was held in London.
The store also displayed a collection tin for donations to the special cause.
A word from the store director
Ross Campbell, store director at Specsavers in Richmond, said: ‘Our veterans are beloved across Yorkshire and, indeed, the nation.
‘We’re proud to show our support for our blind and vision-impaired ex-service men and women and we know our customers will be too.’
