Optical experts in Richmond joined together in a recent month-long fundraising drive, raising an impressive four-figure sum for Comic Relief.
The team from Specsavers in King Street sold 400 pairs of comedy specs and hosted a prize draw in store, which together raised £1,012.40.
The Yorkshire team joined Specsavers stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa. Their campaign raised £475,000 towards the much-loved cause.

Ross Campbell, store director at Specsavers in Richmond, said: ‘Customers and staff responded enthusiastically to the call-to-action for Comic Relief this year and we were over the moon to break the £1,000 fundraising mark.
‘From our special red-themed raffle to our comedy specs sales, it was a great campaign. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this fantastic total.’
Specsavers has been a Comic Relief partner since 2015.
