Staff at Redditch Specsavers are embracing their rainbow hues ahead of the town’s Go Bright for Sight Colour Run being held next month.
The team at the store are both sponsoring and taking part in the 5k colour spectacular on Sunday 10 September, which takes place in the Arrow Valley Country Park in aid of local sight loss charity, Sight Concern Worcestershire.
‘The team really enjoyed being part of this fantastic event last year, so it made complete sense to support the activity again,’ said store director James Worton. ‘We’re all looking forward to taking part, getting colourful and raising funds for such a good cause.’
Beginning the race dressed in white, participants will be pelted with 100% natural brightly coloured paint as they pass ‘paint stations’ en route, finishing the race with a multi-coloured covering. Visually impaired runners will be supported to take part in the event, by being matched with a sighted guide to navigate the course.
