The star of Specsavers’ latest national TV campaign recently entertained Reading shoppers with a high-energy dance workout.
Hayley-Jo Whitney, who played the role of a short-sighted fitness teacher in the advert, lead fellow dancers with a specially choreographed routine. Onlookers were also treated to refreshments and a goody bag from the opticians.
Specsavers used the street performers to highlight the free contact lenses trial available at the store and raise awareness of the importance of regular eye examinations.
Don Watts, store director, said: ‘We were really excited to welcome Hayley-Jo from the Specsavers TV ad to promote the store. I am sure many shoppers recognised her from the advert and they looked thoroughly entertained by her moves.
‘A group breaking out into dance is not something you see every day in the town and certainly brightened up local residents’ day and even got some people in the dancing mood.’
