Specsavers' eyecare experts in Putney are calling on residents to donate their used and unwanted specs in store to donate to the global sight charity, Vision Aid Overseas.
A word from the store director
Heanal Patel, director explained: ‘As optical experts, we care passionately about people in developing nations without access to the eyecare services we have here in the UK. That is why we are collecting used and unwanted specs from residents to help those in need.
The proceeds from selling the reusable materials goes towards establishing vision centres, training healthcare workers and utilising the expertise of volunteers to give people desperately needed eye examinations and treatment.
A lot of people ask 'Can I recycle my old glasses?', so why not pop into any Specsavers store and drop your specs into the Vision Aid Overseas collection box?
