Specsavers opticians in Pudsey has pledged its support to helping people in the town with epilepsy, after holding an in-store raffle in aid of Epilepsy Action UK.
Prizes up for grabs
Specsavers on Lidget Hill in Pudsey held a raffle in store that raised £111.70 for Epilepsy Action UK, which aims to improve the lives of people affected by the condition. Prizes up for grabs as part of the raffle included local restaurant and beauticians vouchers, as well as children’s toys from Armadillo Toys in Horsforth.
Speaking about the donation, James Pickersgill, store director at Specsavers in Pudsey, said: ‘We go a long way here at the store to raise as much money as possible for worthy causes. Epilepsy Action UK is a charity very close to the hearts of our team as one of our optical assistants, Michelle Wilks, is an epilepsy sufferer herself.
‘We’d like to thank our loyal customers and Michelle for getting behind our charitable efforts and showing their support to the charities we fundraise for. We hope the money raised through our in-store raffle goes a long way to supporting Epilepsy Action UK in the future.’
