Sweet treats will be in abundance next Friday (24 March) as the Portishead team raise funds for Comic Relief.
The store will be putting their Mary Berry skills to the test as they bake a host of goodies, which will be on offer to visiting customers and passers-by in return for donations. All proceeds will be donated to Comic Relief.
But that's not all...
Alongside the bake sale staff will be sporting fancy dress and selling the official Red Nose Day comedy specs, which cost £2 and are available in store now in adult’s and children’s sizes.
Anyone who buys the specs will also be encouraged to strike a pose with their glasses and post the picture on social media with #GiveUsAWave to receive their own wave back ahead of Red Nose Day on Friday 24 March.
A word from the store director
David Perrigo, store director said: ‘It’s great to be involved in the Red Nose Day activity and we’re really looking forward to the cake sale next Friday.
‘The comedy specs are already selling well so we hope that we have the same response to the team’s baking!’
Specsavers is supporting Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa and has pledged to raise at least £250,000 for the charity.
