Tell us a bit about yourself…

I have worked in Specsavers Blackwood as a senior optometrist for seven years, my passion for optics started when I began working for Specsavers as a weekend member of staff 15 years ago. After graduating through Pathway, I am delighted to have become a director of Specsavers Porthcawl along with my co-directors Paul Morris and Ann Simpkin.

From a Saturday girl to a store director, it’s been a fantastic journey with Specsavers.

Do you have any hobbies or interests?

When I’m not testing patients, I'm a keen dancer and enjoy travelling to new places.

What is the best part of your role?

The importance of regular eye examinations should not be underestimated, whenever possible I like to explain this to my customers. A sight test not only assesses your vision but can find indications of other medical conditions too such as glaucoma, age related-macular degeneration and cataract.

I am looking forward to providing optical and hearcare services in the town of Porthcawl.

How can customers book an eye test?

In order to book an eye examination please call the Porthcawl store on 01656 782832. Alternatively, you can phone our contact centre on 0800 0665372.

How many members of staff do you have working at your store?

There are nine members of staff at Specsavers Porthcawl.
