The directors of Specsavers in Pontypridd have announced a £200,000 renovation of their store, investing in new test rooms and state-of-the-art equipment.
Located on Taff Street, the store will undergo building work in August to increase the number of test rooms by three, bringing the total to eight.
The on-site laboratory, where technicians glaze and prepare lenses for customers, will also double in size, with state-of-the-art equipment being installed to allow for a higher number of lenses to be processed.
‘Exciting new equipment’
Geraint Jones, store director in Pontypridd, says: ‘Our decision to expand the store is a result of increased demand for our services. We understand that our loyal customers have come to expect an exceptionally high standard of service, not just from the clinical staff in the team but those who run the retail area, too. With more and more people from the community coming to us for their eye health needs, we want to make sure that everyone we see receives the best service possible.
‘We are looking forward to seeing how the store will look after the investment, and with exciting new equipment on show, I have every faith our staff and customers will enjoy their time at Specsavers Pontypridd.’
