A University of Plymouth student optometrist is looking for your support to help win a prestigious national industry award. Luke McRoy-Jones, who also works for Specsavers at Armada Way has been shortlisted for the Association of Optometrists (AOP) Optometry Student of the Year Award 2019.

Luke says: ‘I feel really honoured to be up for this award. I believe it highlights that my work alongside my studies is being recognised by my peers and colleagues. I think it’s a real testament to the optometry department at the University of Plymouth and also to Specsavers. Both have been supportive and have allowed me to develop as a student optometrist’.

Dr.Josie Forte, director at Plymouth Specsavers says: ‘We are so proud of Luke and we know first-hand that he has a strong record of professionalism and works hard to achieve the best service he can for Specsavers. We wish him the best of luck’.
