The team at Specsavers in Petersfield have completed a first aid training course to ensure they are fully prepared for emergency situations at the store.
Staff were taught a number of skills, including CPR, by first aid trainer Peter Glover, who handed out certificates to those successfully completing the course.
The Specsavers team is now considering raising money for an in-store defibrillator, which they were also taught how to use.
A word from the director
Jo Cox, store director at Specsavers Petersfield, said: ‘The majority of the team were trained on basic life-saving skills, to enable them to help with the many customers that come through the door. Although it’s a serious subject it’s an important life skill that they now have for our community.’
