Specsavers Petersfield has celebrated its second year of testing the eyes of local residents and raised precious funds for Blind Veterans UK.
The Specsavers store marked the store anniversary with a day of celebration for its staff and customers.
Donations to Blind Veterans UK
The store donated £1 from each eye examination carried out during the anniversary week to Blind Veterans UK. On the Saturday staff joined in the birthday fun by decorating the store and holding a cake sale to raise money for wounded servicemen and women.
Jo Cox, store director of Petersfield Specsavers says: ‘We have had a fantastic two years and we are loved serving Petersfield residents for the past two years. Our anniversary celebration was a great way to give something back to our customers who have supported us since we started.
Vibrant local community
Jo continues: ‘Blind Veterans UK is a fantastic charity, and our staff were very excited to raise money for them during our anniversary week. On behalf of everyone at the store I’d like to say how wonderful it has been for us to be part of such a vibrant local community.’
Following its second anniversary the store will be undertaking a series of fundraising initiatives over the coming months to help local causes.
