The team at Specsavers Perth took time out to focus on the big match at McDiarmid Park on Saturday 24 October, with help from a Scottish FA match official.
Category one referee Andrew Dallas visited the store ahead of the St Johnstone V Dundee United Scottish Premiership game, for a pre-match eye test.
Dallas, who took charge of the first Tayside derby in Perth this season, watched as neither teams scored leaving the final result 0-0.
Specsavers Perth store partner Sharon Philip, said: ‘We were thrilled that Andrew took the time to stop by and visit us in his capacity as a referee before this important Tayside derby. It was a high-pressure game, so we wanted to ensure his eyes are in top condition.
‘Specsavers is proud to support the Scottish referees and our partnership with the Scottish FA goes far beyond just a logo on a shirt. We’re committed to helping to provide grassroots training for potential referees, inspiring respect for match officials and making sure their eyes are in top condition through regular sight and hearing tests carried out in our stores across Scotland.’
