Specsavers staff in Pembroke Dock have covered 200 miles between a rowing machine and exercise bike and raised £170 as part of its campaign to support Red Nose Day.
Staff at the Dimond Street store took turns to use the rowing machine and exercise bike to complete the challenge in an effort to raise donations for the charitable cause.
Funny for money
In addition to the in-store fitness challenge, staff also made their faces funny for money with Specsavers’ official Red Nose Day glasses in small or large sizes, for just £3 with £1 donated to Comic Relief.
Specsavers in Pembroke Dock has joined Specsavers stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa.
Delighted with effort
Gary Owen, store director of Specsavers in Pembroke Dock, said: ‘It wasn’t an easy challenge to cover 200 miles on gym equipment - especially at the store - but we’re delighted with the team’s effort and to have supported Red Nose Day this year!’
