The team from Shirley Specsavers raised their glasses to more than 50 years’ combined service at the store’s annual awards night, held on Christmas Jumper Day (13 December).
Four team members were recognised for their service to the store and the local community.
Gina Hughes, Tanjia Zaman and Rebecca Goddard marked five years of service, while Matt Webster celebrated 10 years of service at the store which opened in 2008.
They were joined by director Spencer Parkes, who had his 25 years’ service noted in 2019 having opened Specsavers Solihull in 1993, alongside his brother and business partner Brad Parkes. The duo now jointly run the Shirley store too.
‘We’re very proud of our team’s longevity and we’ve always marked significant milestones in service with all our team members across both stores,’ said Spencer. ‘It’s a mark of their commitment and dedication to our community and customers.’
The team all received pin badges, shopping vouchers, and extra holiday as a thank you for their loyalty.
